My background is nursing. I started counselling when I worked in the Special Care Baby Unit. This provided support for parents and siblings of poorly or premature babies.

Realising how my work helped people at such a vulnerable time, I decided to gain more knowledge in the theories and psychology surrounding counselling, attaining Certificates and a Diploma in Counselling.

I have taught Bereavement Counselling, and Skills and Theory Counselling courses to health professionals at surrounding hospitals. I am also involved with the Counselling Team of Tutors at Southport College.
