Jan Minchinton BSc, Diploma in Counselling, Diploma in Hypno-Psychotherapy(NC)

I qualified as a Counsellor in 1997 and carried out counselling work with young people at the Young Persons Advisory Service in Liverpool. I have also worked as a Samaritan.

In April 2007, I commenced training with the Central School of Hypnosis and Psychotherapy and now incorporate hypnosis in my work. I passed the Certificate in Hypnotherapy with a distinction in March 2008 and the Diploma in Hypno-Psychotherapy in December 2009.

In the main my clients suffer with stress, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem and lack of confidence. I am particularly interested in working with eating disorders as these issues were studied as a part of my written work for for both my Counselling and Hypno-Psychotherapy Qualification.

I am member of the National Register of Hypnotherapists which requires me to follow a strict code of ethics including confidentiality and regular supervision.

I currently work at Healthpoint in Formby on Saturday afternoons, although appointments at other times can be arranged on request.
